Hungry for something fresh?

POSTED ON April 23rd, 2010 BY Kristin

Then head out to White Rock Local Market tomorrow morning from 8:00 to noon. Held only twice a month (second and fourth Saturdays) and stationed in front of Green Spot Market and Fuels (our neighborhood source for Biodiesel and yummy tacos) on Buckner, every visit out to WRLM is an adventure, and one not to be missed. While the second Saturday of every month usually boasts fun vendors with soaps, jewelry, bicycles, art, candles and more, the fourth Saturday is food only, so we’ll be going out to pick up some awesome lunch veggies and maybe a few pounds of shrimp.

If you can’t make it out tomorrow, check back here over the next couple of days for pictures from our outing and prepare to be green with envy!

Update:
The Market was AMAZING! Lots of fabulous vendors – Brandon Pollard was there in full honeybee costume representing the Texas Honeybee Guild, Village Baking Company with their amazing olive bread, Texas Olive Ranch, Windy Hill Oraganics brought only their freshest veggies, and Texas Worm Ranch taught us how to not scream at the site of an earthworm (difficult task for yours truly).
